How to add website/blog theme color to the browser Address Bar

If you view certain blog/website on a mobile browser, you would notice that the color of the browser's address bar changes to that of the website. Ever wondered if you could do that to your own website?
Doing this is pretty simple actually, although, if you search on the internet you would hardly get the complete solution. Mostly people will tell you what works on one particular browser, but what if your website receives cross-browser traffic? Here's the complete cross-browser solution. Paste the below code just below the <head> tag of your website code.
The result is given below.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work on iPhones since iOS only supports black, black-translucent or default - you cannot use a custom color.
