I need to admit that the Attribution Widget at the bottom of my blog made it look at bit unprofessional. So I wanted to remove it. However, to my utter surprise, it didn't have a remove button unlike the other widgets. So how to remove the Attribution widget in Blogger themes?
If you search Google, you will get to see lot of post on how you can edit the following code in your Blogger template, set the Locked attribute to False, and you would be able to remove the widget from the Layout tab:
However, this doesn't work! If you follow this process, even though you would be able to see a Remove button on the Attribution widget and the widget will vanish once you click on that button, the widget will come back the very next moment. But afraid not, there is another way that works.
Simply follow the below process:
1. Open your Blogger template code
2. Find the following code
]]></b:skin>
3. Just above it, add the following piece of code
4. Save the template, and you are good to go. Now you will not be able to see the Attribution widget on your blog, even though it's there.
