So what is Image Stitching?
According to Wikipedia, image stitching or photo stitching is the process of combining multiple photographic images with overlapping fields of view to produce a segmented panorama or high-resolution image. Here's what it looks like:

Doesn't it look amazing! But...

...how to do image stiching?
Simple, with OpenCV. OpenCV is a library of programming functions mainly aimed at real-time computer vision, and machine learning. It was originally developed by Intel but later supported by Willow Garage, and then Itseez. The OpenCV library is cross-platform and free for use under the open-source BSD license. And what can be a better way to learn how to do image stitching with OpenCV than to do a hands-on project!

Wait, did you say hands-on project?
Yes, CloudxLab is offering a bouquet of "free" hands-on projects including one that teaches you how to do image stitching with OpenCV and Python. And yes, you read that right, it's a free project. You do need to pay a minimal fee for their lab services, and then you can complete their projects for free. Once you complete a project, like I did, you will even get a certificate instantly like the one below:

You can then show off your newly acquired skills on your LinkedIn profile, or your resume.

These projects are automatically assessed, so you wouldn't have to wait for someone to give you feedback. And the other projects from CloudxLab sounds equally interesting including one that teaches you to remove noise from images, and creating a spam classifier using Python, NLTK, and scikit-learn.

So head over to CloudxLab and start upskilling yourself, but don't forget to give us a Like on Facebook.
